Train the trainer
About the training:
We’ve seen this before. Most businesses assume that presentation skills equal trainer skills. That is not the case, even though mastering presentation skills come as an advantage. But what is a training session or how can we asses if we are talking about training and not presentation? Just follow this 3-step checklist: A training session is effective when participants have assimilated the information, have built the specific skills or have shifted their behaviour. From our experience, the learning process is facilitated if the participants have found the topic interesting and relevant to them, if they are involved or challenged or if they were stimulated to link the new information with the pre-existing one. Otherwise, the content retaining rate is estimated at just 15%, or even less.
How can we avoid this? Come and learn from this workshop how to build a new learning experience based on only four pillars: content, participants, training and the trainer. So, let’s train the next generation of trainers.
You will learn:
- to perform content (re)design
- to ask and identify the needs of the: participants, their managers, the organization
- to deliver a training session
- to facilitate and encourage learning among participants
- to manage the physical and emotional stress associated with the facilitation process
- to understand and lead group and individual learning processes
- to deal with resistance, unjustified challenges and passive behaviors
You will improve your skills in:
- training
- communication
- learning
- managing stress
- leadership
